Low oxygen overpotential: When metal is extracted by electrolysis in sulfuric acid solution, oxygen is released on the anode. The tantalum iridium coated titanium electrode has a low oxygen overpotential and is not corroded by the electrolyte.
Excellent electrolytic durability: The iridium oxide coating exhibits excellent electrolytic durability, with an initial anode potential of 1.51V and 1.64V after 6000 hours, and a coating weight loss of 0mg/M ².
The comparative advantage is obvious: in electrolytic production, the lead anode of lead based alloy electrodes (containing Sb6% to 15%, or Ag1%) will dissolve, consume anode materials, affect service life, and the dissolved lead will precipitate on the cathode, increasing lead impurities in the metal and reducing product quality; The ruthenium based coating will be severely damaged under this working condition and should not be used. Its initial anode potential is 1.48V, which rises to 2.0V after 1000 hours, and the anode has been passivated.
